Beans, beans are good for the heart, the more you eat the more…you are likely to live a long and healthy life? Today we are going to be talking about Beans.

Beans are an affordable kitchen essential and an ingredient that has amazing nutritional properties. Beans provide an ideal mix of complex carbohydrates and protein. They have a high concentration of iron and also contain potassium and magnesium which are known to help lower your risk of heart disease.

Beans are the seeds from flowering plants and are classified as legumes. Several beans grow in pods or capsules that develop from flowers. Other beans (or legumes as they are sometimes called) include peas, peanuts, and lentils. These beans are available dry, canned, or frozen.

Beans contain amino acids, which are the protein building blocks that the body uses to heal and to make new tissues, such as bone, muscle, hair, skin, and blood. Amazing stuff, hey?
